The Drakensberg Mountains. The view from our room. |
Elder Hind |
At one point we sat quietly and watched a bunch of baboons walk in front of us and then into the woods. I was a little nervous because they can be a little aggressive. However they were kind of far away and didn't seem to know we were there. It wasn't until we were almost back to the hotel that we saw a couple of large baboons running from the dining room patio. One of them had a bunch of green stuff in his mouth. I don't know if he raided the dining room or the flower garden. Anyway there was a frustrated hotel employee chasing after them. There were about 5 or 6 running around the hotel grounds. Elder Hind got a picture of a couple of them on the roof.
Dinner was amazing again. Lots of stuff that did not look familiar and lots of stuff that we recognized. At one point Elder Hind filled a bowl with some round dark things cooked in butter, garlic and cheese. He ate some of them and proclaimed them to be kind of blah. I then informed him that he was eating snails. That's Elder Hind, always up for an adventure! I tasted them, they weren't bad and not as chewy as I thought they would be.
I asked your kids for your address for your blog and they never responded so glad Elder Hind gave it to is . So excited to follow you guys. Keep posting!!
